A) Pricing for "Regular " Self-Pilot Safaris:

Our mainstream “regular” Self-Pilot Safaris reflect tour experiences uncompromisingly 5 star throughout: flying, on-the-ground services, escorting, guiding and attention to detail. With international exchange rates varying continually it is difficult to define prices on this website accurately for a safari you might be considering in the future. Additionally, prices are affected by seasonal variances and the size of group you finally travel in (two to seven airplanes). Please let us know your travel dates and we will gladly draw up a quote for you. As a general guideline safari costs range as shown in the table below and are fully inclusive once you have arrived in South Africa.

Tour

The pricing guide assumes two persons sharing a PA28/C172 and double occupancy with full private facilities. (if a third person or child travels as passenger, the price for this person will be discounted, although there may be a single supplement applied. Please advise your requirements when booking).

The costs include:

  • Meet and greet and orientation,

  • all meals on safari, breakfasts at city hotels and an African Aero Safaris gala dinner,

  • all safari excursions in game parks by night and day,
  • selected excursions along the itinerary,

  • excursions or pre- and post tour itineraries
  • airplane upgrade

Discounts (only one discount of either type is allowed) are applicable on tours where:

  • deposits are received outside 180 days prior to tour start.
  • 5 or more guests are making group payments and bookings through one party leader

B) Pricing for "Custom-made" Self Pilot Safaris:

A custom-made safari can be high-end or make use of moderate accommodations. Generally private game lodges are more costly and fully inclusive, whilst staying in smaller villages in a hinterland tour will be at lower cost but less wildlife oriented and not fully inclusive.

Prices range from $320 to $520 per person per day on tour The price is dependant on which meals are included, the category of accommodations, if car rental is required, local excursions and many other factors. The final pricing can only be determined once we have designed the routing to your requirements and satisfaction.

C) Pricing for "Chauffeured" Safaris:

There are so many variables if you wish to join in but do not wish to fly yourself. Please complete the form for Non-Pilots on the Reservations page and we will revert immediately.

D) Pricing for “Wildebeest Wings” Safaris

These 4 to 10 day safaris focus more on flying than intensive ground experiences;  However in some of them we also visit wildlife gameparks en route. They are designed as "local" safaris that make use of economy to moderate accommodations and are short enough to suit local South African aviators for extended weekends or a week's holiday.

Pricing ranges from a low $6450 for two persons sharing accommodations and a C172 for 5 days, upwards. They can also be configured for pilots who wish for an instructor or local pilot to accompany them flying along to "improve bush flying skills".
(contact us for more information on these tours).
